JAWS SC 2-3 INNERCIRCLEScorers: Ming, SyahrulAssist: Indra
As the league come to a halfway point of the season, Jaws finally fall to last season's Division 10 champions: Innercircle. Described as a test of mental by the Gaffer, all of the players and management should reflect back to this defeat and prove what Jaws is really made of. The attendance was superb for both players and fans as well, but Jaws failed to show a true reflection of their true capability.
1st half XI: Mamat, Chee Hui (C), Hilmi, Darryl, Im, Syahrul, Zul, Ming, Shim, Ayyub, Diki In the 1st half, Jaws failed to adapt to the small pitch and get any decent passing going as Innercircle limited the space and close down any Jaws players. Mamat played a fantastic game by showing a pair of safe hands and also being able to come out and catch any crosses and long balls within the penalty box. Diki was the suprise striker upfront and was offered little support upfront. Jaws scored through Ming whose determination managed to win a 50-50 challenge with their goalie and managed to produce a cool finish with his left leg! 1-0! However, Innercircle continued to limit Jaws any space in midfield and constantly win all the 50-50 balls in midfield. Syahrul and Zul just could not produce the same control in the engine room while Hilmi and Darryl did their best to keep the score 1-0 to Jaws at halftime. HISSHAM FOR YUB. AYAT FOR IM. DIN FOR DICKY. Din had 2 goals disallowed for offside and perhaps, Jaws were unlucky not to be awarded for any of the goals. 2nd half XI: Is, Hilmi (C), Rusdi, Diki, Shim, Syahrul, Jie Hao, Shaq, Indra, Hissham, Ayat The 2nd half continued to have Jaws playing according to Innercircle's style of play and Jaws were uncharateristically blunt in attack. The defence line was so deep and the midfield just failed to get themselves higher up the field. Due to this, Ayat was deprieved of service and Jaws barely had any shots on target. AYYUB FOR SHAQ. SHAIK FOR DIKI. CHEE HUI FOR RUSDI. BAZLI FOR HILMI. MING FOR HISSHAM. DIN FOR JIE HAO. Jaws had Shaq, Zul and Hilmi injured during the 2nd half unfortunately and we hope to have them recovering fast for future games. Despite the lack of offensive threat, Indra's throw in to Syahrul helped Jaws to go 2-0 up! Syahrul controlled the ball and unleashed a half volley into the net that left their keeper helpless! 2 goals in 2 straight games for our midfield general! However, that proved to be the turning point of the game as Jaws fell asleep and allowed Innercircle to score 3 goals to tie up the game. Jaws were all over the place, as they crumbled upon pressure from Innercircle's persistent attacks. Jie Hao got the unfortunate clearance into his own net for Innercircle's equaliser. Final score: 3-2 to Innercircle!
The postgame teamtalk was a mixed affair as clearly, some of the Jaws members were still very emotional over our loss and over some of the break down in communication during the game. However, some of the Jaws players showed real character and heart for Jaws and are able to accept this defeat as a wake up call. As the Gaffer, i will accept full responsibility for this result and go back to my drawing board to make some changes for the benefit of Jaws. Without a shadow of a doubt, Jaws must clear any petty arguements and ask themselves if they ever put themselves before the team. With another 7 games to go, Jaws must learn from today's lesson and accept our mistakes on and off the field. Most importantly, those who really have Jaws in their hearts will show from next game onwards that we might be beaten but we are never out. Based on today's game, there were just too many things that went wrong for us and Innercircle simply wanted the win much more than us. There should never be any pinpointing of mistakes and Jaws must accept this defeat as one team. Hopefully, Jaws will respond positively next week against Northwest Spartans. There's no time to brood too long over trival matters if Jaws really want to give the league title a shot. As a promise to all of Jaws, i will give my absolute best to bring the best out of Jaws for the remaining season. League champions or not, Jaws will remain a family that all of us enjoyed being a part of! Cheers! JAWS MAN OF THE MATCH: MAMAT REPORT BY AYYUB KAY ( JAWS MANAGER )

We might not be top on the table now.. but trust me, we will be at the top at the end of the season.. I am confident of that.. but being confident alone isnt good enough.. i want everyone to share the same belief that Jaws can do it.. Even the best teams in the world get defeated.
The Question is: Do u want to lift the trophy at the end of the season?? How much do u want it?? I am 100% going for it... This loss showed that we can be beaten and we cant take things for granted..
Innercircle showed determination and the "never say die" attitude.. Coming into the game, most probably they are thinking that they are playing against the league leaders, but somehow that didnt allow them to be afraid of us.. Being 2 goals down, they didnt give up!! Thats something we can learn from them, we have to make sure we are giving more than 100% everygame, be it against a strong team or a weaker team or be it we are losing or winning during the game..
From now onwards, we will show the rest of the teams out there what Jaws are made of.. Dont allow our fantastic performance in the previous 7 games to go to waste..
I will make sure i will run and play till i drop for the remaining games and every Jaws will do so too.. Jaws aren't quitters, we are champions and we will be champions!!! Have faith in each and everyone of us and believing is achieving...... The faith and belief we commonly share, will be rewarded!!!!!! Come on Jaws!!!!!!!!!
